Your civics exam will have two constructed response questions. We'll be practicing them around once or twice a week in order to prepare from here on out.
Constructed responses are easily answered using the ACE formula. Answer Cite Explain Reword the question as an answer. Whoever is reading your response should be totally sure of what question you are answering. Give an example to back up your response, and then explain why your example proves your answer. I would keep your response between four to six sentences. We'll do two. They're due today. Do not talk until you have completed your work. Unlike your exam, you are not expected to know all of this material yet. You may use the internet or your book for research if you wish. These will be graded for your answer as well as the quality of your writing. Write in third person only. 1. Why does North Carolina split its trial court system into district and superior courts? 2. Why do the state appeals and supreme court not use juries to make their decisions?
